the supershack story

In early 2003 James Engineering saw an opportunity to develop a quality alternative to the traditional 'kit' or lightweight transportable housing which existed in the market place. Recognising that potential clients would accept nothing less than 'up to the minute design', James Engineering set out to find a partner whose innovative thinking and concepts would allow their vision to become reality. Extensive research led them to architect Geoffrey Pie whose reputation for excellence is well documented both locally and internationally.

An initial design (type a) was developed for a single module, a completely pre-finished house with contemporary fittings and finishes that have the capability of being transported to virtually any site with comparative ease.

The end result is the "Super Shack", a strikingly modern beach/country/city home available in a range of designs, completely pre-built in a controlled environment under architectural supervision, with high quality fixtures and fittings. Add to this the engineering disciplines associated with heavy industry and you have a structurally superior home that can be ready to live in within 7 weeks of receiving development approvals.
