geoffrey pie is an architect and
town planner who has been in private practice for over 40years and is a life
fellow of the Royal Australian Institute of Architects. Over the years he
has won numerous awards for meritorious architecture from the RAIA including
the Robin Boyd Award in 1986 for his family house at Peregian Beach. While
he has been involved in a wide range of large scale buildings including the
Heritage Hotel (now Brisbane Stanford) and University of the Sunshine Coast,
he now prefers to concerntrate on his real passion which is residential
buildings. By partnering with James Engineering, Geoffrey hopes to offer
these skills to a broader audience.

James engineering was established
in 1963 as a general building contractor specialising in remote and difficult
locations, and has developed into Australia's premier manufacturer of engineered
custom designed transportable buildings. There has been an emphasis on longevity
and adaption to a wide range of uses including; buildings for heavy industrial
and process industries, blast proof buildings for petro chemical plants,
MRI units in hospitals, police stations in remote areas, and community
infrastructure buildings including schools and churches. Such experience
is invaluable in the development of the Super Shack.
